Author's Note: Frienship breakups suck. End of story. :(
Thinking back to how things were,
Reminiscing, everything's a blur
Deep dark secrets that we'd never share
Why did this happen? It just isn't fair
What did I do wrong?
Why's this happening to me?
I thought you were my friend,
Now it's easier to see:
You gossip for hours
Not the way we did
This time it's about me
About things I never once did
Forever and always
Not anymore
We're miles away
From how we were before.
This is a really good poem. It's definitely something we can all relate to, especially in middle school. I love the way these lines fit perfectly together and the structure makes it flow really well. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteTaylor, that was amazing!! I really liked the rhyming and this was a great topic that everyone can relate to. Next time, you might want to make it longer just because I felt like it was kind of short, but besides that, I wouldn't change anything.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say this is quite good. I like closed form here. Open form would be too weak. I also like the specifics you lay out in the poem.
ReplyDeleteI would add to go back into the first stanza and fix the spelling of "reminiscing", and "everything's".
